The condo where we stayed in Florida had one of these holders and my friend and I ordered them on the spot. The ease of use sold us immediately. The ability to remove one towel with one hand is brilliant. I'll watch Kamenstein for other inventive products.

The holder does a nice job of holding the paper towels firmly on the large post and the small post helps with tearing the towels off at the perforations. There is a "click" stop to prevent the towels unrolling if you pull too firmly. Appearance is neat and clean, good, "heavy" feel to it. The first one arrived quickly but slightly damaged but return was easy, postage prepaid, and credit applied quickly. Second, replacement item arrived very quickly. Price is reasonable.

This is a great paper towel holder. Very sturdy....we have it in our RV and it never moves when we take to the road! Love the brushed stainless steel!

My package arrived, but it was broken. It was packaged with something else and clearly rolling around in the box getting slammed by the other item. The bar that holds the paper towels was wobbly and the piece that makes it work was cracked in half. Now I have to deal with shipping costs and the whole mess of packaging it up and sending it back. I could have bought it locally. This is the second time this has happened when ordering from Amazon. The last time I just kept the broken item. My Amazon shopping days are OVER! As for the product itself........my sister and mom both have it and love it. That is why I ordered one.

After so many great reviews, I was very disappointed to receive a badly marred product. On the top of the base, there are major scuffs that could only have been inflicted during manufacture, since they run radially. Unfortunately, this renders it far too unsightly to display, but since it weighs so much (which would be a positive thing if the item weren't defective), it doesn't make much sense to pay the return shipping. Appears to be a great design, but until the manufacturer improves QC (there isn't even a QC stamp/sticker/marking of any kind...), I cannot recommend it. Consider buying locally if possible so you don't get stuck with a (hopefully rare) defective item as I did :-(
